What’s The Headline?

Day 66

It’s probably possible to avoid all Oscar hoopla, but I haven’t.

So I’ve seen most of the nominees being interviewed, and it’s amazing how many of them refer to their obituaries.  They know that if they win tonight,  their obituary headline will contain the words “Academy Award Winner.”  And many of them also refer to the “can’t take it away” nature of the Oscar.  No matter what else they do in their lives, the Oscar will not be rescinded; being an Academy Award winner is forever.

Today I am appreciating myself for what I’ve accomplished that can’t be taken away from me.  I don’t think about my obituary.  I think about enjoying my life.
