If ever one is tempted to take one’s self (or anything else) too seriously, one might meditate upon

 The Whoopee Cushion.

To quote the young lady wielding the mighty Whoopee, “It’s fun just to SAY ‘Whoopee Cushion.’ Go on, say it!”
